Frequently asked questions
Are the sheets real, 100% linen that is made from the flax plant?

Yes, all Linessence products are made from real, 100% linen. In fact, we don’t even carry any other fabrics. All of the products we sell are made exclusively from 100% linen.

What if my new linen sheets don't fit?

Just give us a call or email. We’ll send a prepaid box for you to return the sheets. We will either make a new custom linen sheet specific to your bed or give you your money back, whichever you prefer.

What is the difference between Linessence 100% linen sheets and the discount sellers 50% linen/50% cotton sheets?

Beware of these new 50%/50% imitation blends. They are only 50% linen and cannot give you the benefits of real, 100% linen sheets. Linen blends also wont last as long as 100% linen. We use only 100% linen to manufacture our sheets. Guaranteed or double your money back.

How long do linen sheets last?

Well made linen sheets will last a minimum of 25 years when properly cared for. Just avoid over-drying them in the drying machine, avoid silicone laundry softener, and don’t crease them with an iron.

How do I care for 100% linen sheets?

Its super easy. Wash the sheets in warm water, either by hand or by washing machine. Avoid laundry softener. Hang dry, or machine dry on medium for 15-20 minutes checking every 5 minutes. Remove when still slightly damp (do not overdry), and finish drying on a hanger or simply place on bed to finish drying. Remember 100% linen dries fast. Follow these steps and your linens will get softer and softer over time.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is free, regardless of the size of your order.

Why does linen seem expensive?

Linen is more labor intensive than other fabrics like wool and cotton. As a result, it is not being mass produced the way other cheaper fabrics are. In fact, the majority of linen fabric is still supplied by small specialty mills in Belgium, Ireland, and France. Many are small family owned businesses that have passed the business from generation to generation.
